Breakfast at CUT, 45 Park Lane Hotel, London
There’s something indulgent about taking the time to enjoy breakfast and when sitting comfortably opposite Hyde Park and surrounded by the gorgeousness of Mayfair, indulgence is a must. As much as I like my mixed fruit and seed salads in the morning, an invitation to breakfast at CUT, the restaurant of 45 Park Lane hotel was a welcome treat. The glamour, the sophistication and the oh so French pastry basket. Never has a pain au chocolat looked so good outside of Paris. No word on how many I enjoyed…
Starting with the juice of the day – melon and apple – and my favourite green tea, I rapidly moved on to the main event. How could I possibly choose? Well, put maple syrup on anything and I’m all yours! Face-to-face with a plate of fluffy pancakes with maple butter, a serious dose of maple syrup and three slices of crispy bacon = hello breakfast heaven! A serving of mixed berries balanced out all feelings of guilt. Well, not quite but with forkfuls of deliciousness, who cares about guilt. My breakfast date opted for salt beef hash with poached eggs, leeks and a heavenly rich Béarnaise sauce. A breakfast of champions. Very lucky champions indeed.

Gosh! That looks sooooo good! Can’t wait to try this one
A definite must-try for all London lovers!
Looks delicious! That pastry basket…..heaven!!! As much as I love bacon, the bacon in that picture looks fake. Of course I would have tasted it to make sure it was delicious. Yum-o! Good way to start the day!!
Spot on about the bacon; I tapped it against the plate to check! Is maple butter common? The first time I saw it was in the wonderful you and your mum gave me.
I suppose as long as the bacon tasted delicious, it doesn’t matter how it looks. After all, it all looks the same in your tummy!
I would say maple butter is not as common as peanut butter or jam as it’s quite sweet but you can find it at every sugar shack and I would think in most stores. Though I only seem to eat it as an expat!
Oh my…that last shot, breathtaking delicious!!!
Pure glamour, non?
omg, i could so do with those pancakes right now….drooling, lol…and maple butter?! Thats a first for me, gotta try it one day=)
Hope you’re enjoying your weekend Milla!
