A lovely start to my busy week

I have a million and one things to do this week and today is seriously hectic, so I thought I’d start the morning with a re-read of a chapter from my book-club’s livre – “Like Water For Chocolate” (fabulous read) with my breakfast: a glass of warm water and lemon, a bowl of millet flake porridge topped with raisins, seeds (pumpkin, sunflower and ground flax) and a drizzle of 100% Canadian Maple syrup with a pot of Genmaicha. Gluten-free, dairy-free (I used rice milk), delicious and oh so nutritious.

Now time for a little Crystal Renn, Carine Roitfeld and the fashion God himself, Mr Tom Ford!

I love me some tea Kate. I’m already mentally writing my shopping list for Japan, despite not having booked the tickets yet! I’ll happily get you some tea : )

I actually asked my husband to take the maple syrup to work and lock it in his office. If there’s anyone to blame my dear, it’s you! Hehe : )

Hehe, no junk at all! This is healthy, tasty and the sweetness tricks you into thinking you’re eating something bad.

Merci – I’m really happy with it!

So funny because I make my own version of this breakfast! Oatmeal with blueberries, cinnamon, and maple syrup too! Like Water for Chocolate is an excellent read.

Cinnamon! I knew something was missing! You must share your meal ideas with me, I think we like similar food. Oh blueberries, yum!

I haven’t heard of it until about 2 months ago but it’s fabulous!
