Colour Me Bad

Wearing bright, bold yet sophisticated pieces from Longchamp, Giuseppe Zanotti, Blumarine and Versace to name but a few, this model shows us all that it really can be done. As someone who lives in black, I’ve promised myself that this year will be different. How about you, do you have a particular fondness to a certain colour?

I have my eye on some nude heels but I haven’t done any shopping for the new season yet. In this weather, I can’t buy summer dresses. Raining and bleak. Will show you what I get though : ) How about you? Eye on anything?

I, too, wear so much black, Milla. I always gravitate to it, it feels chic and sophisticated. But with all of the bright colors of spring, I WILL be getting some happiness to mix in with it!!!! xoxo

That’s just it Sandy, it is chic! That said, black in the summer is a bit dull. I usually wear white or really live on edge and opt for navy in the summer. This year, colour will be my friend! Hope to see your girls in colour too…

I am all about the coral/orange trend right now. It’s so fruity and vibrant. I have an orange wool, winter coat, and I always get complements whenever I wear it. Scary bright but a lot of fun.

Just reading about your orange coat makes me smile. Seeing this stand-out piece against a wall of black sounds fab.

Oh yes, Mustard yellow and fuschia pink. They get me every time, even if the cut’s bad. It’s an addiction. Maybe this is my season- can finally wear them together! x

Fuschia pink: where do I sign? Fabulous! Mustard yellow I adore in magazines but I’ve yet to see anyone pull it off. You must take a pic, style queen!

I love this post. Here in New York we all wear way too much black. It’s just easy. But invariably I do feel better when I add some color, even if it’s just brown or navy!

It’s hard to balance it but Kate, with your figure, you could wear any colour you want and still look amazing!

I loooooove bright colours on my dark skin, like fuschia and orange. I wear tons of brights on the weekends or in the evenings after work, but I find that all my work clothes/business attire is dark!! I really need to work on that!

One of my friends has gorgeous, rich black skin and she lives in turquoise, fuschia, bright greens and looks amazing! It’s so important to take skin tone into consideration. I think anybody can wear colour but you need to pick the right shade.

Chica, I am all about color! My fiancee and I are picking out wedding china, and he keeps picking stuff that is completely white. I am like what about COLOR?! What colors I am wearing right now: grays, deep aubergines, mauve/rose, blues, blacks!

I need to stick with you – you can teach me (though I’m with your fiancé, it’s all about the white china…) : )

I am on the same page. I live in black usually or neutrals.
But when people do color right I am always so in love!

LOVE LOVE LOVE the new look of the blog!
And yes I’m a ‘black by day and night’ girl too, but all these colours make me wanna go out and buy new stuff? I was so inspired by Mary Katrantzou’s show, I’m dying to get my hands on a bright coloulerd printed dress.!

    Bisous!

I’m thinking that come Spring (which seems ages away right now but I remain hopeful!) we all need to get together and collaborate on a breaking out of black post. I’m always in black or white or cream. Colours like this always look so great in the magazines…. what are we scared of?!
