Victoria Beckham SS 2011

I never ever thought the day would come when I would praise Victoria Beckham. 17th September 2010 will be a day to remember! I’ve been sitting on these images since Victoria’s New York show earlier this week.  If you read my blog frequently, you’ll know that this is the first time I’ve used runway images, and never use “street style” images.  I like both, but I must prefer seeing (and sharing) gorgeous glossy campaigns. Anyhow…

Victoria has once again wooed me with her fabulous designs.  Her Spring/Summer collection was fabulous but I just couldn’t bring myself to post photographs.  I’m British and along with a fondness for tea and football, disliking Victoria Beckham is one of our national hobbies.  All that aside, Victoria has somehow designed clothes for stylish women who work/lunch/cocktail and want to do so in understated, feminine, luxurious clothes.  The dresses above are my personal favourites, and I can just imagine how many celebs will be rushing to wear one.   How did a woman who used to wear PVC mini-skirts come up with these simple, chic designs?  HOW?!  I demand to know!  Personally, I smell a Milli Vanilli type situation, but I have been called cynical before…

Oh isn’t it just! Wouldn’t life be wonderful if we could just stroll around town in such divine ensembles?! Yes, that’s my dream life!

If she is pulling a fraud…guess we’ll just have to blame it on the rain.

Love the use of the same shoe in the set. Delightful constant.

I love the 1st on the second row,

and WOULD love the second if it was a bit more tapered…maybe even more movement in the shoulders? anyone? anyone?! 🙂
